AFMAUE: Agriculture & Forestry Management Applied to Urban Environments
Digital interface is a website design, as a free Wix website. The style made from scratch incorporates free font Proxima with vector based illustrations and photoshop images for a clean and accessible information outlet.
Print interaction delivers in the form of a one page flyer. This element is interactive, so sharing on email is simple and clickable. The information is concise, my copy writing, presenting my research.
Lead like an ally.
Toward 1 Wisconsin, sponsored by Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy, Protecting the Great Good Church Mutual Insurance, and University of Eau Claire, is a yearly event in Wisconsin which I have been lucky enough to attend. Their inclusive leadership inspired this project. I wanted allyship and inclusive design to bring pride into the work place.
The flag poster was turned into a series and extended to an environmental graphic design. Each poster celebrates gender identification, with word art that focuses on the diversity in gender. I really enjoyed this project because of the bright and enthusiastic vibe. I also was happy to expand my knowledge by researching gender diversity.
Green Halloween
Green Halloween animation is a short explainer about how to be environmentally responsible during my favorite holiday. It is super silly, simple designed to motivate kids to empower their friends and family.
Recycle Better
This project was started early in my design education. I was really excited to be able to raise awareness about how to increase renewable profits within our local waste management system. When we follow the simple guide, we do more than reduce waste, we respect the people that keep our streets clean. I think that is important!!
Delta Alpha Pi
Delta Alpha Pi is an American Honor Society founded in 2004 to recognize high-achieving college and university students with disabilities. Being so in love with inspiring iconology, I was so excited when New York became the first state to replace handicapped icon with a more active, in motion icon (2014). The transition was well received and authentically represents the strengths of the disabled community.
I wanted to do a similar project for Delta Alpha Pi badge. I do not want to replace the National Organization's badge. Except, my badge is a great shareable, sizable asset for people to show off, with pride, on social networking sites. It tells the story of DAPi, always in motion, layers of knowledge, "Working toward an adaptable world." Additionally, the new icon represents the requirements of a disabled person to be a part of an often ableist society, morphing between shapes, the high contrast accessible to people with sight and learning differences. Visually, my badge design takes the shape of a cape, as we can follow disabled people toward a more equitable future. Check out the comparisons. Stay informed about making an adaptable world!
